Do you remember Queen Tabitha Audrey Chubblebutts the Third? She’s lived for ten days now, an impressive amount of time for an Atlas.

I don’t know how she lost her wing. I hope nobody rough housed with her. :(

Her reign has been long and glorious. She has picked a successor, though.

The artist says this moth is from the Amazon… do you happen to know what species it is? Absolutely stunning! Also, this one is from Peru apparently. Just curious if you knew offhand!

The first one looks like a Ceanothus Silk, H. ceanothus. The second might be Amaxia osmophora or another closely-related Arctiid. Danke for the photos.
